As per the note on the article page, there is an API chance between the current stable(1.1) Python-ogre and the up coming release candidate(1.2). This concerns the SceneNode.getWorldPosition() method, which has apparently been replaced with _getDerivedPosition(). More details here [1]

For the moment though I am leaving the code as is, I don't think it should be updated until 1.2 is current stable.
